History
The Jets were founded in 1959. They haven’t struggled much in their early era they have seen early-era success. In 1968, the Jets was elevated to the AFL playoffs for the first time in Super Bowl III, and they won the match. The Jets became the first AFL team to beat an NFL team in the AFL-NFL world championship. They won the Eastern AFC twice. They have qualified for the postseason 12 times. They have the longest championship record.
